Departure Paramaribo – Salvador
Today you depart from Paramaribo to Salvador via Belem and Sao Paolo (short stopover). On the day of departure, you should check in at the International Airport of Paramaribo at least 3 hours before your international flight from Paramaribo to Port of Spain. For current departure, arrival times, and check-in counter information, you can consult the website of Johan Adolf Pengel Airport.
Arrival Salvador
Upon arrival at Salvador Brazil airport, you will be met by your local guide and driver and transported by private transfer to your hotel accommodation in Salvador. The rest of the day you have free to enjoy the accommodation.
Full Day Schooner Boat Excursion
This fantastic tour takes you to the Baía de Todos os Santos (Bay of All Saints), to two of the many islands with lush tropical vegetation and pristine beaches. The first stop is the island of Frades, which has a history of slavery: here slaves from Africa were quarantined and prepared for sale on the mainland. Once the schooner anchors, you can relax and swim in the warm, clear water at one of the island's most beautiful beaches. The tour then continues to Itaparica, the largest island in the bay and an important historical site. You get to know the island of Itaparica (Ponta de Areia) and can enjoy the delicacies of Bahian cuisine. The rest of the afternoon there is plenty of time to enjoy this beautiful tropical location. At sunset, you board the schooner again for the return trip to Salvador.
Half Day Salvador City Tour
This fascinating tour through the upper city reveals the characteristics of Bahia's oldest streets and architectural structures. From Farol da Barra, a lighthouse that now serves as the city's nautical museum, the tour continues towards Porto da Barra, overlooking the forts of Santa Maria and São Diogo. Then come the traditional neighborhoods, such as Corredor da Vitória and Campo Grande - the square where carnival begins and ends, with a short stop at the park and fountain of Piedade. The main - and by far most important - location visited during the excursion is Pelourinho, the historic center of Salvador and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This neighborhood is considered by many to be the finest example of 17th and 18th century colonial architecture, and also the largest and best preserved of North and South America. Built on a steep hill, the picturesque colonial mansions and churches (such as the Igreja Nossa Senhora do Rosário dos Pretos), artistically decorated in various pastel colors, make a visit to this enchanting part of the city a must for every visitor to Bahía. Because Pelourinho is one of the highest points in the city, visitors are rewarded with a magnificent view over the surrounding city and harbor.
Full Day Excursion Praia do Forte from Salvador
Today you will be taken to Praia do Forte, where you have a whole day to spend on one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil with lots of atmosphere and activities.
Domestic Flight Salvador – Fortaleza
In the morning, you will be met by our representative and assisted with check-out formalities. Then you will be escorted to the airport in time to board the flight to Fortaleza. Departure: Salvador at 14:50. Arrival: Fortaleza at 16:40. Upon arrival in Fortaleza, you will be greeted by a Tapasya Reizen representative and taken to your hotel accommodation. The rest of the day you have free.
Full Day Excursion Canoa Quebrada from Fortaleza
This coastal excursion takes the visitor on a day trip to the beach of Canoa Quebrada and the surrounding area. Although Canoa Quebrada has grown considerably in recent years, it has still retained much of its history as a small fishing village. Nevertheless, the town has developed into a charming tourist resort with a wide choice of restaurants and hotels. The adjacent beaches are wide and white, with a beautiful backdrop of towering dunes, the unmistakable feature of Canoa Quebrada, located on a peninsula 164 km southeast of Fortaleza. The main street of the town has been nicknamed "Broadway" because this is where most of the bars, restaurants, and accommodations are concentrated. In addition to a range of possible activities, the visitor can take a buggy ride through the dune landscape or enjoy a dip in the refreshing, reef-protected water of this idyllic beach. (buggy ride and other activities are at additional cost and are not included)
